Mississippi State goes all out with stadium banners

In addition to the enthusiasm from new football coach Dan Mullen, Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field literally has a fresh new vibe. Twelve large banners, seven of which showcase former and current players, were installed earlier this month, costing Mississippi State a total of $170,000.

Varnado back to work for Miss. State basketball

Those who stopped keeping track of Jarvis Varnado at the end of last season, while they know all about his records, have missed some big things. Varnado entered the NBA draft, though he eventually withdrew his name to return to MSU.

Mississippi State connects football with physics

Starting Saturday during the season opener against Jackson State, the Mississippi State athletic department will be airing a new video segment called "Physics and Football."
