Columbia U. administration quiet about controversial professor

Columbia University Middle East and Asian languages and cultures professor Joseph Massad is said to have been granted tenure earlier this summer, though mum’s still the word from the university about the status of his employment.

Columbia U. endowment down 16.1 percent

Columbia University officials released a statement on Friday—shortly after Harvard’s and Yale’s announcements of endowment losses—indicating that the university’s endowment losses for the year ending June 30 was 16.1 percent, leaving a preliminary unaudited endowment value estimate at slightly more than $5.7 billion.

NY governor addresses Columbia U. Medical Center
